WIND POTENTIAL
Preliminary assessment of wind potential

Terra Eolica offers quick and cost-effective wind energy potential assessments for early project stages. Using Virtual Met Mast hourly data, existing turbine data, we estimate annual energy yield and economic viability. Our technical assistance aids your investment decisions from the early stage.

Measurement, analysis, bankable report

For effective measurement, we start with designing a suitable concept tailored to your goals, with a focus on LiDAR for cost-effectiveness. Our measurement services offer remote sensing options or Met Masts. We deliver comprehensive data analysis and a bankable measurement report, facilitating project financing.

Selecting Wind Turbine and Micrositing

We ensure optimal utilization of wind potential for your wind park, maximizing energy yield. We advise on turbine type and hub height, minimizing shadowing effects and leveraging spatial wind distribution. Using GIS analysis and WindPro modeling, we design layouts considering economics and regulatory compliance.

Noise impact assessments

We'll conduct noise impact assessments for your project, determining existing noise levels in coordination with regulatory authorities and conducting site inspections at all relevant locations. Sound propagation calculations will be performed using the DECIBEL module of WindPRO (EMD).

Shadow flicker, Visual Impact

We generate shadow flicker reports to evaluate its impact on nearby areas, utilizing the SHADOW module of WindPRO (EMD).

Additionally, we construct a photomontage, providing a realistic visual impression of the wind farm's appearance within the landscape.

Bankable energy yield report

We adhere to national and international standards to provide bankable wind and energy yield assessments, crucial for financing your wind energy project. We rigorously verify wind fields before conducting energy yield calculations and offer additional services such as assessing operational constraints and providing expert evaluations for fully bankable report.

    Ilia Panov
    Founder
    Ilia has nearly 20 years of experience in the energy industry. He began his career as a researcher at the Moscow Power Institute before moving into roles as a Business Analyst and Project Manager at a software development company focused on energy trading software. For over 13 years, Ilia worked at PJSC "Unipro", formerly E.On Russia, leading the wind development direction within the Strategy and Development department. In 2023, Ilia founded Terra Eolica, where he currently serves as CEO. He holds degrees from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute and IBS RANEPA. Outside of work, Ilia prioritizes his family life, being a dedicated husband and father to three children.

    Vlad Nigmatullin
    Co-founder
    With over 15 years of experience in the electric power industry, Vladislav has held various positions at RAO UES and major Russian generation companies. He has also worked at investment banks such as JP Morgan, MDM Bank, and Aton, serving as an analyst in the utility sector. For more than eight years, Vladislav led the strategy department at the leading Russian utility company, PJSC "Unipro". From 2015 to 2019, he was an invited professor at the New Economic School, where he delivered lectures on the economics of the Russian electric power industry. Currently based in Düsseldorf, Germany, Vladislav continues to lend his expertise to the global electric power landscape.

    Karim Smirnov
    Co-founder
    Karim is an inspired researcher and developer with over 20 years of experience in solving complex engineering problems of software development in the fields of telecommunications, robotics and control systems. He has over 9 years of experience as a software engineer, having worked at companies like Nokia. His talent lies in the synergy between software development knowledge and a scientific approach to problem-solving. Karim is a devoted husband and dedicated father of two children. Karim has PhD in robotics, Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University.
